Mar 1, 2006 We submitted our application online to EAC.
Mar 18, 2006 We sent our I-600A application to the CIS. We sent it again two days later, as I wrote the check for the wrong amount the first time
Mar 23, 2006 Allen is in Kansas City for work. I get a phone call at 5:45 from EAC. It is Chris telling me she has a file and photo of a beautiful little girl on her desk. She was 15 months old and had bilateral clubfoot. I was caught off guard, once again. The little one was older than we had planned, only 8 months younger than Christopher. Allen was gone. I told her I needed to talk to Allen, I would call her in the morning. (It was hard to tell her that!) After numerous tries to get Allen on the phone, we agreed to sleep and pray that night.

Mar 24, 2006 Allen and I agreed that our daughter’s file was sitting on Chris’ desk in Cleveland. I called and asked them to send the file, and e-mail me her picture. I had all good intentions of waiting for Allen to get home before I looked at the photo. Silly me. As soon as the e-mail came I opened it to see my daughters beautiful face looking at me. I tried to call Allen, but he was in the air on his way home. I left him a message to "go wireless" in the airport and look at his daughter. We were also getting ready to have nine 9-10 year old boys at the house for a sleepover for David’s 9th birthday.

Mar 25, 2006 We survived the party, and were stalking the Fed*x man the next morning. He was a good sport, and he allowed us to take his picture as he played stork.
Mar 26, 2006 I spent the weekend searching the internet looking for the characters in our daughter’s name...I had forgotten to ask! I found Yu and Ying, (meaning: Jade Glow worm). I finally gave up and decided to call EAC on Monday
Mar 27, 2006 Our daughter’s name is Guan Yu Ying. We will call her Kaytlin Marie YuYing. She is currently living in Kun*ing, Yun*an Ch*na.
David turned nine today.
