Subject: Dance
Update for today:
Although she is only 2.5, Kaytlin has started taking Chinese Dance Lessons. Our friends saw the classes perform at the Asian Festival that is held every year in C*lumbus. The classes are at one of the local Chinese Christian Churches. There are three adoptive families who are attending, but we still get some strange looks when we walk into the church. The funny thing is, the first song they danced to her first week was the same song I danced to as a little girl! Kaytlin is now quite proficient at Dancing to "I’m a Little Apple Tree". Although she won’t do it at class. When I took the pictures, we didn’t have real Ballet Slippers...I couldn’t find them small enough! However, on our way home we stopped at Toys R Us, and they had size Five’s! We really needed a four, but we have room to grow!
We traveled to Ill*nois to attend Lane's wedding. Her mom, Marla, is one of my best friends, whom I miss terribly. She and Lane were the only ones to ever babysit the kids when we lived in St. Louis, and they lived a block from our house.
The other photos are from the past few weeks. K just continues to blossom. The Chinese costume is a Bai Ethinic Minority Traditional outfit. Yunnan is home to many of China’s Ethnic Minority Groups. I should have bought more outfits...oh well, another reason to go back! :)
