Subject: July?!

Update for today:
I cannot believe that it is July! This summer is flying by and soon we will be preparing to send the older boys back to school, sigh. Things are slowing down around here, but we are preparing to go to T*xas to a gathering of other families who are touched by Arthrogryposis, Andrew was born with this condition. However, we are EXTREMELY blessed in the fact that Andrew is somewhere in the middle of the spectrum of AMC, he can USE his hands, a HUGE blessing that many AMC kiddos do not have. So, although he may not have hands that LOOK typical...we are firm believers in FUNCTION over FORM! Now some of you may ask, "How does this relate to Kaytlin?" Well, many of the people who will be at the convention were my cheerleaders during the wait. They prayed for us to get speedy LOA’s, TA’s and any other "Alphabet Soup" A’s we needed to bring Kaytlin home. They prayed during surgeries, during our travels to and from The Clinic and basically are just a wonderful group of people. So Look out T*xas we’re on our way! :) Because Kaytlin only has contractures in her feet, she cannot have a formal Dx of AMC. However, Dr. B has commented that he had only seen foot bone structure like hers in children with AMC.

The Monkey Twins and Andrew went with me to my parent’s house last Sunday. We needed to get some work done on the van, and I needed a haircut. So, since David had baseball practice on Sunday, I made the trip alone. I am happy that the kids are good travelers; however, on the way home NOBODY slept...it was a long three hours!

About as soon as we got home, we had to load them all into the van again to go watch David’s final game of the season. He played on the "All Star" team formed from kids from his Summer League. By the end of the game, we were ALL ready to go home.
